Vladimir Vasilyev: “We are at finish and it was a good day today. Yes! There were some rocks again, but it was the case for slight speed reduction on those parts. Today there were dunes, fast sections, some stone sections – all that we’ve got at Dakar this year. And it was really good finish stage.
I liked this Dakar. Well done! Organizers made they outmost. I am at finish and can say already that I like to be in Saudi Arabia- there can be a lot of events here, nice landscapes and good atmosphere. This Dakar was not easy. A lot of days then the track was on river bands with stones or stone plataeu, that part I didn’t like. It was more luck than sport, hoping that you won’t cut a tyre. Most probably that would remain in memory as well as 11th stage – have a thousand kilometers of uneasy special stage. This Dakar was different!
The day after tomorrow we’ll be back in Russia and ready to welcome the guest of the first event of the World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas “Russia – Northern Forest” on February 4th.
